Celebrating 25 Years

Be Brooks Brave

We helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

Brooks was a healthy, active and loving 5 year old boy when his childhood changed forever on June 13, 2015. He was unexpectedly diagnosed with two, stage IV inoperable brain tumors (Astrocytomas or often referred to as GBMs). He underwent brain radiation for 6 weeks and oral chemo therapy monthly.  Then we heard more devastating news on March 16, 2016 when a new cervical tumor was found. This time the tumor was too aggressive and resistant to radiation. Our hearts were broken when Brooks passed on May 21, 2016. He was BRAVE to the end and inspired thousands along the way to "Be Brooks Brave" and live in the moment. He has forever changed our lives and we are so blessed to have loved him, even for 6 short years. We would do it all again just to call him our son.  To read more about Brooks's story, please visit the St. Baldrick's honored kids page: stbaldricks.org/kids/Brooks Did you know that 175,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer each year? And in the U.S., one in five will not survive.  Did you realize brain tumors are the leading cause of death for children under 19, yet the most under funded?  My 6 year old son, Brooks, was one of them. I never want another family to hear the words, "I'm sorry but there is no cure", so I'm raising money to make a change. Please support Brooks with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation in his memory. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.  It is our hope that we can fundraise $10,000 within a years time to roll the money into a Hero's Fund for Brooks!  We will then be able to allocate the donations towards pediatric brain tumor research, or any research of our choice.   So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids.  Any little bit helps.  We need your "change" to make a "change"!!  Donate like it's your child who has cancer.  Thank you so much and always remember to #beBrooksbrave!!
