Event Details

Colfax Junior/Senior High School is hosting its 6th St. Baldrick's Head Shaving Event on Wednesday April 19, 2023, from 1:00-2:15 in the CHS Gym.  Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement!  Please consider donating to a great cause and help children and families who are impacted by childhood cancer.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer and donor powered charity committed to supporting the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.
Children, teens and even infants are diagnosed with cancer every day, but donations are drastically down for research to find cures. We can change that – and save lives!
Our event will speed the search for cures, supporting the largest charitable funder of childhood cancer research grants. Research is hope, and you can give kids that hope.

We are holding this event in honor of  of a sweet and brave little boy named Atticus.  Atticus was diagnosed in 2016 with brain cancer and is currently in remission.   We have also invited a special guest and will be honoring Myles Rice from Georgia, he is a student athlete at  WSU.  He was diagnosed last summer.  After a 5 month long battle he was declared cancer free in March.  We also will be honoring Konnor Stirling, in loving memory.  These three will always hold a very special place in our hearts here at Colfax Junior/Senior High School.

This year we set our goal at $16,000, but when our high school principal, Mr. Gibb announced at an all-school assembly that he would shave his head at the event, if we raised a total of $20,000.  We then decided that $20,000 would be our goal.  This year JES will be joining us as well.  Mr. Claassen announced that he will shave his head if JES raises $5,000.
Superintendent, Mr. Pugh and Carter Comito will also shave their heads at the event if we raise a total of $5,000.

Can’t join us? Please make a generous donation to give kids the long, healthy lives they deserve.

Together let's conquer Childhood Cancers

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
