Event Details

This is the fourth year that our team, 46 Mommas Shave For The Brave, has joined forces with the St. Baldricks's Foundation to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research. We are a unique team in that we are comprised entirely of Mommas who have all heard the devastating words, "your child has cancer." The 46 Mommas represent all mothers who make this journey with their child, and our annual teams include women from across the U.S. and Canada. Although we may have different backgrounds, beliefs, and lifestyles, there is one thing that we have in common --- childhood cancer. This year, we will join with family and friends in San Antonio, Texas to hit our million dollar goal and go far beyond! In 2010, our inaugural team took the name 46 Mommas Shave for the Brave and established a fundraising goal of $1 million for The St. Baldrick's Foundation. We then went on to shave our heads and appear live on Stand Up To Cancer in Hollywood, CA. In 2011, we stormed the capitol in Washington D.C. and raised more awareness and funds for our cause. In 2012, we went back to Hollywood with our new allies, Votre Vu, and brought love to local hospitals while inching ever closer to our million dollar goal. Each year, a new class of 46 Mommas is inducted into the cause to empower and engage mothers of children with cancer. Through increasing awareness of childhood cancer and raising funds for childhood cancer research by shaving our heads, we hope to one day be a group that no longer needs to exist. Our goals: •Raise more then $1 million for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation's childhood cancer research programs •Hold an annual head shaving event, uniting childhood cancer Mommas and their families, to help raise these research funds •Increase awareness of key childhood cancer issues in our local communities •Advocate to increase funding, both nationally and locally, for childhood cancer-specific issues •Collaborate with other childhood cancer organizations to help produce a stronger, united childhood cancer community Awareness=>Funding=>Research=>CURES Please consider donating today. Help us reach our goal of $1 million in 2013 and help fund research that will CONQUER childhood cancer!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
