18th Annual St. Baldrick's Day in Winston Salem

Join us to have some fun – and be a hero for kids with cancer!

Come be a part of the 25th year of St. Baldrick’s volunteers working to Conquer Kids’ Cancer!  Our Winston Salem event has been apart of the St. Barldrick's organization and we have raised over $900,000 to keep our kids free of this dreadful disease.

We have so many amazing and personal reasons to continue hosting this event year in and year our.  Our group of honored kids from Brenner's Children's Hospital are the toughest, sweetest and most fierce warriors in all the land.

It all started with Vinny (see our hero kids page below).  He was our first honored kid and one of the main reasons we started this event.  His battle with Rhabdomysarcoma began in 2008.  He won multiple battles with cancer and fought bravely for 5 years finally joining our angels in 2013.  Vinny loved life and loved being a cowboy.

While there is loss, there is also triumph. Roe Roe Tucker beat cancer on March 28th, 2022 and has been a crusader for all other kids fighting this dreadful disease.  She has her own foundation, @roeroesheroes.org, and has raised over xx for families battling childhood cancer.

We lost two very special ladies last year, Emma Edwards and Finley Price.  Emma became our first "highlighted hero" in 2017 lighting up our event poster with her bright smile.  She earned her angle wings on July 11th, 2023.

This year, our second ever "highlighted hero" is Finley Price.  She was an intelligent, silly and energetic.  She loved Jesus, her family and all of her friends.  She fought cancer for three and a half years before gaining her angel wings on November 9th, 2023.

Our goal this year is $75,000.  There are so many amazing ways to raise money.  Will you join us?   Our event will speed the search for cures through St. Baldrick’s, the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants.

Sign up to shave your head or to raise money another way. Can’t join us? Please make a generous donation to give kids the long, healthy lives they deserve.

You can accelerate the next 25 years of cures for kids with cancer!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
