Welcome to the Fifth Annual Rockville Centre St Baldrick's celebration!!! If you have participated before, we want to thank you for a very successful 2007. Last year we raised over $220,000 in Rockville Centre and over $12.9M worldwide. So thank you for all your efforts. If you are new to St Baldrick's, we want to thank you for helping us shave a way to cure childhood cancer in 2008!!! As you may be aware, This year over 160,000 children worldwide will be diagnosed with a form of Childhood Cancer. Childhood cancer kills more children each year then Juvenile Diabetes, Aids, Cystic Fibrosis and Congenital defects combined. Although over time the survival rate has improved over time, losing one child to cancer is one child too many. And unfortunately some of the current treatments are often harder on the children then the cancer itself. So we truly have a lot work to do! This year,we have set our Rockville Centre fund raising goal at $250,000. The overall goal for the St Baldrick's Foundation for 2008 is $17,000,000 worldwide. These funds will be used to fund life saving research, improve treatment protocols, allow more children to have access to clinical trials, which will lead us to the day we have a cure. And finally to fund the St Baldrick's Fellowship Program. This program funds the training and education of the next generation of Childhood Oncologists. Only the best candidates are selecting, ensuring that all children will have caring doctors and research scientists well into the future. We hope to have a great event this year. Although we have moved the venue, we expect to have a great event with fun to be had for people of all ages. The event will take place shortly after the end of the Rockville Centre St Patrick's day Parade. So we hope to see you there. We will be communicating more details as we get closer to the event. So Please check our site frequently. Also as we have increased our goal this year, please, please, please invite a friend or two to be brave and go Bald. Thanks!! Dan & John

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
