Event Details

Be a hero for kids with cancer! Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. 2012 marked a huge milestone for the Portland/Vancouver event, we set our goal on 500 Shavees and smashed right through the mark with 603 Shavees (the largest event in the world in 2012 of more than 1300 events). With this momentum we want to leap to another milestone in 2013 and aim super high for 1,000 Shavees. We know the community is with us, so sign up early and consider starting a team. Be a team captain, join a team and help us grow. On Thursday November 15th The St. Baldrick's Foundation presented OHSU and Doernbecher's Children's Hospitals grants totalling over $579,000 a direct result of all of our hard work this last year. Congrats to all of our participants this last year! A special shout out to all the Volunteers, Barbers & Shavees......YOU ROCK! We hope you will join our event and help us continue to grow and keep the title of being the largest event in the world. This year Music will be provided by The Great Train Robbery, a local rock band willing to volunteer their day to entertain us, Thank you! If you have any questions about fund raising, the day of the event, what to do until our event, etc. etc. please feel free to email me. I am always here to help you make your experience as rewarding as possible. Thank you, John Bohannon
