Event Details

Pictures are up at http://stbaldricks.radfiles.net, Check them out! March 19th has come and gone. I want to take a moment and Thank all of the coordinator's for this event. They worked their tails off so to speak. Greg Howden, Brian Murphy, Sam Stairs, Jen Rose, Jocelyn Rhymer, Alan Stanton, Diane Carpenter, Cocha Heyden and our ever so talented DJ's Gerritt Kaufman and Paul Montville. I also want to Thank the Honoree's, barber's, volunteer's, supporter's, and all of you who donated in this tough economic time. Last but not least, I want to give Jake Schroeder and the NFL/NBA alumni a special Thank you for reminding us of what a great country we live in by singing the National Anthem Thanks Jake!. Now, our goal was set at 50k, and we broke that with the donations we received at the event. A preliminary figure is around $53,000.00. Folks, you should be proud of what we accomplished here. As a community we amassed an army to help defeat a disease plaguing our children. I am humbled by the generosity that was received. A final tally will be about a week from now and pictures should be available soon. Until next year, Thank You again! Photo's from the last 3 years may be viewed at http://stbaldricks.radfiles.net March 2010 will be the 4th year that St. Baldrick's will be held in Douglas County. As a Community, we have raised over $250,000 to assist in scientific research for new cures to combat cancer. We have all experienced a loss or have been touched by cancer whether from family, or knowing someone with cancer. It is our responsibility to assist our researcher's in curing this disease. It is time to put a stop to debilitating chemotherapy treatments and replace it with less harmful medicine. Our children need to spend their time outside rather than growing up in a hospital bed. Please take time to read about this organization and the wonderful things they do for the children who have fought and are fighting for their lives. Worldwide, 160,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year and cancer is the leading cause of death by disease among children in the United States. "Each day, families of kids with cancer tell us a cure is not enough. These grants will not only help save lives, but will improve the quality of life for patients and survivors. Please donate to a shavee or team of your choice to help raise funds for much needed research into curing Childhood Cancer. Thank You

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
