March 12 - Scott Parker of the Colorado Avalanche shaved his head into a mohawk for the event. Scott can't make the event due to his schedule, but his support for this great cause is appreciated! VIP's for the event: Sam Wilder of the Indianapolis Colts will be WAXING his chest at the event. The waxing will be done by Tom Nalen of the Denver Broncos!!! Sean Tufts of the Carolina Panthers will be shaving his head at the event!!! The following members of the Colorado NFL Alumni Assocation will be attending the event: Leroy Mitchell Doug Widell Ken Lanier Hair Clippings: All hair clippings are going to be saved and donated to excessaccess.com. Hair clippings are used to make hair mats that help clean up oil spills around the world. So the event can provide for yet another great cause, our environment! ** UPDATE ** Wow... what a high energy event! The room was just buzzing, what? oh? that was the clippers... really buzzing with excitement today. I am so proud of everyone involved with this event. I remember when filling out the page my original goals were 20 shavees and to raise around $5,000. Well, we are now over $40,000 with some more donations to add up. I'm guessing we'll break the $45,000 mark. So, I'm thinking I need to raise the goal to $50k? Or maybe everyone just needs to donate more money and help us make more than 10 times our original goal! We will have more pictures up soon, and there will a web site with tons of pictures of the event up. I'll post the link here when that is available. Also, I hear more and more about St. Baldrick's that makes me proud to have set this event up. A doctor from Children's Hospital in Denver was at the event today and he is a big supporter of St. Baldrick's and what they do. I don't think you can ask for a better plug than the people who are treating these kids everyday. Pics from this event are online at: http://photos.radfiles.net/StBaldricks Enjoy!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
