Event Details

UPDATE 6/15/2020 12pm
We have not confirmed a new date yet, but needed to change the TBD to reopen registration. The September date is not confirmed, but is a goal.  While we determine what changes need to be made for the event, from a date standpoint,  we encourage you to keep raising funds for life saving research into childhood cancers.

Safety is our primary concern and we are working on the best path forward. With the current situation and direction from our government, there is no way to have the event as planned on March 28th. It will not be cancelled, but postponed to a new date.

Pediatric cancer is not taking a break. Kids with cancer still need research and we will keep running toward the goal of conquering all childhood cancers.
We can still be amazing in the face of adversity.

With a later date, that will make it easier for us to achieve or exceed our fundraising goals, making it bigger and better. We will announce details as soon as they become clear. The event will be even bigger and better.

If you need to shave the weekend of the 28th , we appreciate your support of the cause. If you need to borrow a shaving cape to use with a licensed barber/stylist at separate location for single person shave, check with them first. If they do not have one available, we can provide one.

There will still be smaller events still taking place this weekend in support. But please double check as things are getting updated quite regularly at this point.

We know you’ve been looking forward to your event all year, and you’ve been doing a great job fundraising. We hope you are able to attend our event on the rescheduled date, and – let’s find the silver lining here – you now have more time to fundraise and make an even bigger impact!

If you aren’t able to attend the rescheduled event, try not to be too bummed out about it – the important thing is that you can still help kids with cancer!

• If you haven’t already, create a Facebook Fundraiser from your participant dashboard to reach more friends and let them know you are still raising funds for childhood cancer research.
• Live stream or post a video of you shaving your head– make sure to tag us in your posts and hashtag #StBaldricks and #DFYchildhoodCancers
If you have collected cash or checks from your donors, please refer to the “How to submit your donations” section of the “Shavee Tips” page, for information on how to submit these donations.

Be a hero for kids with cancer!

Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement!

The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

This will be our 13th year hosting events, having raised over $2.75 million for childhood cancer research. Shaving more than 3000 heads. This is the largest fundraiser for childhood cancer in the state of Michigan.  We shut down the main street and put up a massive tent, with a giant stage with 15 barbers shaving non-stop from 1-4:30pm.

If you can not make it the day of the event to shave in person, you can still join our event and shave where you can, just lets us know if you plan to shave elsewhere.

There is a kids area with free activities and from 11:30am-4pm, face painting, games, photo booth and more, all free for families.  Lots of characters in movie quality costumes from Star Wars, Marvel and DC will be on hand as well for fun photos.

Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers!
