Be a hero for kids with cancer!
***UPDATE***: Due to scheduling conflicts at BHS, the day of the event and donation deadline had been moved to December 7th. I have been so impressed at the fundraising, I have increased the donation goal to 2500 since we have more time as well. If we are able to keep breaking goal, I will continue to raise it another $500. I am beyond proud -Emma
Help support BHS's goal of raising money to help fight childhood cancer in memory of Thomas Fritch, who would have been a senior this year at the school.
In our small town, childhood cancer is a big issue. Currently at BHS, there are 5 childhood cancer survivors, and one student who has passed. While the idea of a child getting cancer may seem like unlikely, we have learned that it is not.
Childhood cancer gets only 4% of research funding from the National Cancer Institute, making for dramatic underfunding. Saint Baldricks helps to raise money that will directly go to childhood cancer research, bringing us one step closer to a cure.
Please consider donating! On
November 22, 2016 there will be a
Shave Event at the school. Our two teams, the BHS students and BHS staff are competing to raise money for childhood cancer research. Whichever team raises the most money will shave the other team's heads! So if you want to see your principal get his head shaved by a student, or a student get theirs shaved by a staff member, choose a team to support and donate today! The totals from both teams will be added together in the end for a total contribution.
