Event Details

Lag B'Omer is the thiry-third day of the counting of the Omer which is celebrated by cutting your hair. Traditionally, Jews stop cutting their hair during those first thiry-three days. We invite you to stop cutting your hair earlier, so you can participate not only in Lag B'Omer, but also this wonderful tzedakah opportunity.

Congregation Beth Am will be hosting a St. Baldrick's Shave-A-Thon and Children With Hair Loss Cut-A-Thon on Thursday, May 19, 2022 @ 5pm at Abbott Court. Kindly register by May 1. Minimum participant donation is $54. If you have questions, please contact the Beth Am office.

During the pandemic, kids were still being diagnosed with cancer, but donations to support research have been down drastically. We can change that – and save lives!

Whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer to raise money another way, or make a donation, please join us to give kids with cancer the long, healthy lives they deserve.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
