Event Details

Why are we shaving heads at this St. Baldrick's event? Because a group of amazing people are willing to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, who typically lose their hair during treatment. More importantly, we're doing it to raise funds for childhood cancer research! Worldwide, more than 160,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. The St. Baldrick's Foundation partners with organizations around the world to fund childhood cancer research. On March 31, 2013 we will proudly be giving kids with cancer a better chance for a cure. At 1pm at Metamorphis Styles in Port Colborne, Ont we will be shaving and cutting our ponies. All donations go towards funding research for Canadian childhood cancer. We are shaving to honour local cancer hero Jason Bekker-Thompson, who is currently batteling Leukemia, and all the thousands of hero's, who like him, deserve a chance at life. So please join us! Please choose a participant to support, or donate to our event as a whole by clicking "Make a Donation" above. You may also give by mail or phone. Thank you for your support!
