GAME RULES:
*Games are quarter court,
*10 minute running time games with ELAM ending. When regulation minutes are up, target score is set by refs at 1 or 2 points higher than leading score and play continues for a set amount of time until one reaches target score (We reserve the right to shorten regulation time if tournament is running behind)
*Baskets are worth one point
*No free throws
*After every change of possession teams take the ball back to designated floor spot before attempting to score. Take backs to basketball spot on side courts, 3 point line on half courts
*All out of bounds, fouls, or start of possessions start at the top of the key
*Have to pass the ball in to start possession
*No possession (team that scores does not get the ball back)
*2nd and 3rd grade divisions play on 9 foot hoops
*All girls plus 2-5 grade boys play with 28.5 ball
*Teams can substitute freely since not all teams have subs
*Multiple refs will oversee each court **THEY ARE VOLUNTEERS, TREAT THEM KINDLY!**

IMPORTANT EVENT DAY INFO:
· Arrive 15 to 20 minutes before session time
· Enter Cherry Road School (201 Cherry Road) on Maple Road side of building
· Only team captain needs to register and pick up team t-shirts and pins
· Sessions start with announcements in the main gym so report there for the start of session even if your first game is in the small gym; games are played in the main gym and small gym. Courts are clearly labeled, on the floor and the walls and signs in the hallways. Courts 1-4 are in the main gym; 5 and 6 in the second gym. Ask anyone in a St. Baldrick's T-shirt for help.
· Teams may finish play before the duration of the age group time slot
· Spectators are welcome and encouraged.
· We recommend your team comes in coordinating colors/jerseys
· 50/50 raffles and concession stand (CASH ONLY) with special food area for players only
· *Players in fourth grade or older who have played all three years have earned the rank of Squire of Hope with St. Baldrick’s and have earned a special pin. Get yours at the registration desk if your player has earned one. *
*We do our best to keep everything running on time, so please be on time and at your assigned courts on time.
* We use an online bracket system to help keep games moving.
*With over 80 teams we are not able to schedule much of a break in between games, so please help us out by moving quickly between courts.
*All games in each round start at the same time; if your team isn't at their assigned court when the whistle blows to begin play, they will play a shorter game because the clock will be running. We will do our best to stick to the schedule, some games may take longer and push us back as a whole.
*All preliminary rounds are group stage, and all courts, teams and times are built into the brackets, which are randomly assigned and will be sent out right before the event.
*Participants will get links to each bracket, plus there will be signs with QR codes hung up throughout.

FUNDRAISING
Players still have plenty of time to fundraisers! Players who raise $200 or more will be entered into our prize raffle that includes gift cards to Get Air, Sky Zone, Adventure City, Dave and Busters, Tullys, Amazon and more! Prizes also awared to the No. 1 Fundraiser and the Top Fundraising Team. We have also added a team raffle for teams who raise $1,000. Fundraising pages remain open all year, though we encourage most donations to come in by event day. We will pull raffle winners 8 p.m. Sat April 5 so fundraising totals up until that point will be used for entry.

Check back next weekend for links to online brackets.
