Event Details

Please join us for our 10th annual BRHLL Shave or Braid on Saturday, May 31st. We are raising money for St. Baldrick's in its 25th year of working to Conquer Kids’ Cancer!

Shaving or Braiding is optional, and everyone who raises at least $50 gets a t-shirt and door prizes.

We are doing this to honor one of our own, Jack Klein.  Jack started playing baseball in our Rookies league and was with us every year until the spring of 2015 when he was diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma and began treatment.  His siblings and cousins have been part of BRHLL for years and he made many friends along the fences. Jack passed away in February 2016 after a 10-month fight.  We come together to honor him and other families impacted by childhood cancer.

Unfortunately, Jack was the one in five children diagnosed with cancer who don't survive.  St. Baldrick's is devoted to changing that statistic and to improving the quality of life of childhood cancer survivors and the often brutal toll the treatments can take in the long term.

The generous fundraising of the BRHLL community has helped fund research grants across the country.  All funds are directed for important research. You’ll be giving hope to thousands of kids diagnosed with cancer every day – from babies and toddlers to children, teens and young adults.

You can accelerate the next 25 years of cures for kids with cancer!
