I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Kapiolani

I am very excited to be shaving off all my hair on April 28, 2019 after an 8 year hiatus. The most exciting thing about this year is that my entire family is "going bald" for St. Baldricks!

I have been taking care of children with cancer since I was in medical school and they have made a huge impact on me and how I view the world. These amazing brave young people have made me the doctor I am today. "Going bald" is only a small symbol to show that I would do anything possible to take us one step further in our search for a cure for cancer. This is a way to raise awareness, show solidarity, and, at the same time, raise funds to help combat this disease.

In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Let's do everything we can to stop this from happening.

Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.

To make a donation, click on "Make A Donation" or donate by mail or phone.

Thank you for your support!

Aloha, "Dr Des"
