This is my eleventh year participating with and raising money for childhood cancer research through St. Baldrick's! Over the course of those first 10 years, I've helped raise $3238. Once again, I'm asking for a little money from you to help with the cause! I of course, in addition to donating on my own head, will also be having my head shaved again in solidarity with kids with cancer.
Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I'm dedicated to doing something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
Those of you who know me, know how closely childhood cancer struck my family. Two years ago, my nephew was diagnosed with stage 4 rhabdomyosarcoma. (Now there's a word I never knew I'd have to learn how to spell!) He had his 4th birthday right in the midst of walking through the hell that cancer treatment truly is. Through amazing doctors, surgeons, and nurses, thousands of prayers, drugs with unimaginable side effects, enormous ups and downs, and miracles from God, he finally reached "No Evidence of Disease."
Sadly, with cancer that's not always the end of the story. That's why it's so important that we find new cures and more effective treatments, and bring hope to everyone, so that children like Cohen can beat cancer, and not have to beat it more than once.
Thank you for donating as well as for your continual prayers!
