I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true and childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded.   I know you have seen a friend, a colleague or maybe even a complete stranger share a child's cancer awareness facebook page. We often follow their story for months and then see that the worse news has been given to that child's family. Let us come together and make a difference to bring awareness to the biggest childhood killer, CANCER.

I have worked in cancer research, my wife works in cancer research and now I am a pediatric intensive care nurse.  This just seems like the perfect "first time" fundraiser for me to do.  I have been growing my hair out for about 7 months now in anticipation of St. Baldrick's Day.  On Saturday February 17th, I will be shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!  Oh its also my birthday on that day too! WOOHOO BIRTHDAY HAIRCUT!

Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

Thanks,

Cody Giardina, RN
