I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

We are hoping you will join us again this year in supporting children who are affected by Cancer.  Last year's event at Miller's was a huge success and we are proud to say that through your generous donations, Dylan was able to raise a substantial amount of money for the St. Baldrick's Foundation. St. Baldrick's raises money specifically to fund Childhood Cancer Research and Treatment.  An area which is in great need of funding and support. Dylan is presently in remission, and we are grateful for his health, but he continues to deal daily with side effects related to his Cancer treatment.  Most of the  children we have met along the way also continue to deal with side effects from their treatment, some have relapsed, many have had to have additional surgeries, and some have lost their fight. All of these kids deserved so much more than the 4% of government funding that is provided for Childhood Cancer Research and Treatment . They deserved more than outdated treatments that  are highly toxic, and in many cases designed for adults, and in some cases, treatments that simply do not work.  Many of these treatments cause short and long term effects, and can result in secondary Cancers. Children deserve so much more than this.  They deserve to be outside playing, attending school,  laughing and loving life.  No child should have to endure months, even years of treatment, attatched to an IV pole and confined within  the walls of a hospital. The most heartbreaking thing to us is knowing that everyday children are losing their battle with Cancer and parents are saying goodbye to their children. In order to honor all those children Dylan fought with, and those who continue to fight each and every day for the chance to simply LIVE and have a childhood, please make a generous donation to St. Baldrick's.  Consider joining  us at Miller's Ale House again this year on March 13, 2016. With Love and Hope Tommy,Susan, Dylan and Shannon McCormack
