Cancer is a terrible monster, a dragon if you will. It takes a brave soul to fight it off. But for a child to fight it off is a completely different story. I may not have a dragon to fight, but I know for a fact that there are dragons all around us. Our family, our friends, and our friends' families all have their dragons to fight. It's an ugly set of numbers, but according to the National Cancer Institute, about 2000 of the 15,800 kids who will be diagnosed with cancer this year, will die. 2000 kids who will never get married, have jobs, and watch their kids grow up. 2000 kids who will never laugh, cry, or do anything in this world ever again. If all I have to do to help is shave my head and wait two weeks for it to grow back, then that is a small price to pay to fight off these horrible dragons. The people we've lost to dragons were good people. I believe that contributing money to St. Baldrick's will help find a cure for this ugly disease: cancer. Thank you, St. Baldrick's, for helping our world. Thank you.
