If you know me, which if you're reading this I hope you do, then you also know my head of hair. Or most of the time, lack thereof. I usually keep my hair fairly short but not shaven. In the winter months I do tend to let it grow out. And if you really know me and my head of hair, you may be jealous. Especially if you are another male member of my family. I have been lucky enough to avoid the balding issue that nearly every other male family member has found. I still have the ability to grow a very full, thick head of hair.
I'm not gloating, I'm just painting a picture for my bald buddies. And if you see the same final picture I do, it's that after this fundraising event comes to a close, I will be nearly as bald as you, or maybe not. I have been letting my hair grow since before December 1, 2012 and I will continue to let it grow until shave day, March 2, 2013.
I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
