On March 15th, I’ll be participating in “The Markit 24 Hour Global Shave” as a head shavee with my colleagues from around the world to help the St. Baldrick’s foundation battle children’s cancer. Everyone knows someone this terrible disease has touched.
This is a very personal cause for me. I am honoring my cousin, Sophia, diagnosed at age 4 with Cancer. With a 4 year old of my own, I really don't know how I would handle such a challenge.
I also have a 40 year old cousin with breast cancer, and lost my father to the disease a few years ago, as well as many friends that have fought, lived or died from cancer.
I’m not looking forward to having my head shaved. You never really know if it’s going to grow back! However, it’s the least I can do to help raise awareness and most importantly money to help fight this disease.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you in advance!
