I have chosen to participate in this event to honor all of the people who are battling cancer or have battled it in the past. In particular, my mother, who has been fighting cancer for the last 2.5 years. My uncle who has beat it...way to go uncle Frank! Our family friend (almost cousin) Renee who has been beating it for decades too. But also, a young girl who lost her battle a long time ago...my best friend's little sister, Melanie. I think about you all of the time and how brave you were/are. Please join me in helping to find a cure!
I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you! Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail.
