Hello everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read about why I am participating in the St. Baldrick's fundraising event, yes I am shaving my head!
My best friend Craig was diagnosed in December with a rare and "incurable" form of cancer. Craig was in our junior class at West Genesee High School. There were 3 of us Craig, Peter and myself. Through our years of growing up we played soccer, basketball, worked out many hard days at the gym (Craig always had better abs than us) and one of our favorite places to go was Taco Bell. We can't forget the music, as we all turned 16 the permit & license was next. Craig was the first to get both. We loved to ride in the jeep with the music up loud (he had the best amp in the back), just the 3 of us. With all three of us being best friends, hanging together we gave ourselves the nick name "3 PAC" (Peter, Austin, Craig). We just knew we were the crew!
Who would of ever thought our "3 PAC" days would be gone and our best friend taken from us. Craig lost his battle with cancer on January 12, 2011. A day we will never forget!! With the love of his beautiful family by his side and the support of his friend he made EVERYONE so proud of him. Craig was so much more than brave, we would say he was stronger than superman, so amazing. We miss him so much!
R.I.P Craig, we love you, "3 PAC" will be back together some day, until then you keep being the brightest star above us and keep shining....
You heard it right - I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research!
In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.

Thank you for your support!
