I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

You heard it right - I'm shaving my head ( all 15 inches of it!) in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research!

In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.

You may wonder why I'm doing this. Many people have asked me why I couldn't just make a donation. But how could I not do this??? Every time I think about why I'm doing this, I remember 3 people. My best friend Amber, one of my friends and his mom, and my art teacher.

Amber had ALL, and went through almost a year of painful treatments. At this moment, she is cancer free. My friend's mom had cancer, a challenge for the whole family. At this moment, she is undergoing chemo. Then, there is my teacher. She still has to go to the doctor's, but it is mainly cancer free. She was diagnosed in 2003, and fought for many years.

Then, there is one more person I must remember. My uncle. He fought for his life for several year; good years too. He had an amazing life, always living it to its fullest. But this September, the cancer won and he passed away. But I will always remember him, a role model to everyone. His story inspires us all.

To make a donation, click on "Make A Donation" or donate by mail or phone. I am trying to raise $1,000- help me do it!!!!
Thank you for your support!
