I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
I've been growing my hair since 2017. Originally, I didn't have a reason to grow it out until I heard about St. Baldricks from a friend. After learning more about this organization, I want to donate my hair to them. My hair has traveled many places with me. It has been all the way to Texas, Colorado, and Missouri when I was serving with AmeriCorps NCCC. On vacation in Myrtle Beach and in California. And in Ohio, where I'm a full time student at the University of Akron. In March, I'm going shave my head and go bald. My hair will then be given to a kid with cancer where it can do other great things! The North Canton Racquet Club will host an event for other people to come and shave their head with me too!
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
