I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: UWO Kinesiology Club

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Many people and families have experienced the pain that a cancer diagnosis causes. I for one have experienced this feeling of absolute helplessness and uselessness. I have witnessed the suffering that my loved ones have endured, and continue to endure everyday. They battle to live a 'normal' life, and too keep their spirits up. It amazes me that adults, like my aunt, can survive this debilitating disease, and I am completely dumbfounded that children are able to battle the same way. Childhood cancer is very different than adult cancers, and it is often not talked about differently than adult cancers either. I am shaving my head to raise awareness for childhood cancer and to help promote its' research. Growing up is difficult enough, and these kids have to do it while fighting for their lives. These kids deserve to know that they are being thought of, and that their differences are what make them the amazing people they are. Their sickness shouldn't alienate them from society. Everyone is beautiful, and deserves to be supported, whether they are bald or not. Help me raise awareness for childhood cancer. You can join me on March 23rd at Moraine Park Technical College in Fond Du Lac to either watch, join me in shaving your head, or make a donation. Every cheer and dollar is greatly appreciated and will make a difference. Thank you guys for your support!
