I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: CCOM

Hello All, My name is Jonathan Wong, I am a second year medical student at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Each year, 160,000 children are diagnosed with cancer worldwide. Cancer is the number one disease killer of children in the U.S. and Canada. Research saves lives. On March 5th I will be participating in my second St. Baldrick's day, getting my head completely shaved along with several other students in honor of the fight against childhood cancer. In 2011 over 45,000 people throughout the US shaved their heads and raised a combined 28.3 million dollars for cancer research. Last year, I fell just short of my $500 dollar goal. But this year I want to double it and raise $1000 between now and March 5th. As a future doctor, it is my goal to go well beyond simply raising money for childhood cancer. If all goes well in a few years I'll have finished a pediatric residency and will have become a daily participant in this struggle. Please follow the links on this page to donate toward this noble cause. Remember, everyone deserves a long and happy life
