Running for a Cure - In Honor of Superman Sam Sommer

We helped to raise money for childhood cancer research at: Individual Fundraisers for the 36 Rabbis

On January 18, 2015, I will be running in the Arizona Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon event. I am running to honor the memory of Superman Sam Sommer, who died on December 14, 2013 from Acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Superman Sam's father, Rabbi Michael Sommer, is my mother, Fran Kapp's, Rabbi. I am running to honor Sam's parents, Rabbis Phyllis and Michael Sommer, and his entire family, who have touched so many lives by sharing their journey. It is my intention to raise awareness and money to help end childhood cancer.

175,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer each year. In the U. S., one in five will not survive. I want to change that, so I'm raising money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids.

Many thanks, Laura
