I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: NetApp

Many of you may know that I had brain surgery last year for a benign tumor. I am fortunate that the tumor was not cancerous. I also had access to one of the top neurosurgeons in the world at Duke, great insurance, and tons of support from family, friends, and coworkers. I came back to work shortly after the St. Baldrick's event had happened in Raleigh. Having had my head shaved for surgery, I was asked by a coworker if I participated in the event. I realized then that no matter how difficult it was to go through brain surgery myself, it was nothing compared to the thousands of children who are diagnosed with cancer. They undergo treatments and tests that no child should have to endure. I am shaving my head this year in hopes that I can help raise funds and awareness to this cause. Please donate generously so that we can find a cure for childhood cancer.
