I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. As I do this I stand with the Sommer Family and know this is a way I can help them and help honor Sam. As we learn from Pirkei Avot 2:21-20,
Lo alecha ham'lacha ligmor, Lo alecha ligmor.
It is not your duty to complete the work.
Not up to you to finish it.
But neither are you free to desist from it.
Please support my participation with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids and although it is not in time to help Sam it will help countless others in the same situation. Thank you!
