I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I honestly don't know what to write here. I don't think there are words to express it. As I type, my wife is at her best friend's 6 year old son's funeral. He and his family preoccupied our thoughts and prayers on a daily basis for over the last two years. They will for many years to come. I look at my 4 year old daughter and 4 year old boy and think "He was diagnosed at 4." I look at my 6 year old boy and think "He passed away at 6." Those are some of the most painful thoughts to ever enter my head, and I feel myself getting numb to just deal with it. And those are just thoughts. I cannot possibly fathom the pain, fear, anger, sadness, and love that he and his family went through on a daily basis. I only know the extent of the emotions that we all felt as we walked with them during the journey. Michael and his family are my true inspirations and heroes. I don't know which dollar I raise, or someone else raises that will be the one that makes a difference in the next little boy's life, but I know it's out there. And I'm going to try to get it. I honor Michael. I honor his parents. I honor his sisters. We will miss you every day.
