I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head in honor of the children who are currently battling cancer and for the memory of those children who have lost their lives to the disease. The money I raise will go towards finding a cure and hopefully saving families the pain that my family has experienced. My brother was diagnosed with leukemia in September of '08. He almost died in the beginning due to a reaction to one of the chemo meds. Since then he has done well and is in his last year of his treatment. Our family got involved with childhood cancer before my brother got sick. Two other children in our neighborhood battled a form of leukemia and unfortunately passed away. Our families have grown very close, so in the memory of Cal and Paige and in the honor of my brother Brett I'm shaving my head in the hopes of raising a lot of money to end this war on childhood cancer. As a young woman in college, this has been a big decision for me to shave my head. I am willing to sacrifice it to raise awareness for this cause. So please help me to reach my goal by donating to the St. Baldricks Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
