The Second Annual 3rd thru 8th Grade Doral Cactus Talent Show Supporting Children's Cancer Research. An evening of music and art by kids for kids, on March 28th @ 5p. We will also have a select group of teachers (Mr. Brown and Mr. Dizon) shaving their heads at the end of the event for the cause. Did you know in the U.S. there are an estimated 15,780 children between the ages of birth and 19 years of age who are diagnosed with cancer every year? 1 in 285 children in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer before their 20th birthday. Globally, an estimated 300,000 kids are diagnosed yearly? While efforts continue to grow in bringing change, there is always more to be done. Our Doral Cactus Community efforts start here. Please support our community cause with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when we ask for your support, we're really asking you to support these kids.
