Event Details

Members of the Asheville (N.C.) Fire Department invite everyone to help us honor the late Paxten Mitchell at our St. Baldrick's event in September! Paxten, the son of AFD engineer Robert and his wife Amy, went to ride purple dragons in heaven in April of 2008. We will never forget his smile which brightened many fire stations during his short time on Earth. In memory of Pax, we want to keep other children from suffering the same illness. Please join us for a great day of fun. Location to be announced pending approval.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
