Event Details

Be brave, be bold, be BALD. Cleveland Heights will once again host its annual St. Baldrick's head-shaving at the Cleveland Heights Community Center on Sunday, March 15, 2015. Men, women and especially children are welcome to join us for this very important and very special event, as we attempt to raise at least $100,000 for all the children battling cancer today and all those who will battle it in the future. We welcome shavees of all ages (and have had some as young as 3!), and also offer the option for girls and women to cut and donate their hair instead of shaving. If you choose this route (and have at least 8 inches of non-color-treated hair), please register as a Volunteer but edit the message on your page to explain what you're doing and then raise money the same way you would as a Shavee. This event is held in memory of Fairfax kindergartner Rebecca Meyer who passed away on her sixth birthday last year due to a brain tumor and in honor of Fairfax second grader, four-time shavee and two-time survivor Austin Gallagher, and Roxboro eighth grader Garrett Gulden, currently in treatment. You have the power to give parents hope, to give doctors medical breakthroughs, and to give kids the futures they deserve. Join us.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
